Ingredients to make 1 Gallon:
- 15 cups water
- 6 2/3 cups instant, non-fat dry milk
- ½ cup store-bought non-fat, plain yogurt (as a starter)
Supplies:
- Stockpot (or other large pan) with heavy bottom
- Thermometer
- Whisk
- Strainer/sieve
- Cheesecloth
- Insulated container (1 gal size)
Put 15 cups of water into stockpot (or other large pan)
Heat the water on medium for a few minutes to warm the water so the dry milk dissolves better.
When the water starts to warm, whisk in the dry milk completely.
